Features of 2024 t851 aluminum block bar:
This is a kind of high-strength duralumin, which can be strengthened by heat treatment. It has medium plasticity in quenched and freshly quenched conditions. It has good spot welding and severe intergranular cracks when gas welding is used. The alloy can be hardened after quenching and cold work. The cutting performance is still good, and the machinability is low after elimination: the corrosion resistance is not high, and anodizing and painting methods are often used or the surface is coated with aluminum to improve its corrosion resistance.
